3. Are VA medical schedules GSA?

If your company offers medical goods or services, you can get a GSA contract, but not in the traditional way through the MAS solicitation.
The VA program office in Hines, IL (in the Chicago metro area) manages eight schedules (dental equipment, diagnostics, general medical equipment, laboratory testing, mobility products, pharmaceuticals, general medical services and x-ray equipment).
The proposal-building procedure involves fewer documents than traditional MAS proposals, but the pricing spreadsheets can be tricky and proposal submission is via email and not GSA’s eOffer website. Although this is a briefer process, proposal building for VA schedules comes with its own challenges.
In the end, you will have a contract with the VA, with its unique contract numbering system, but your contract will be (and be treated as) a “GSA contract”.
